Sculptural Lights
Sculptural Lights are handmade light fixtures that function as both lighting and standalone works of art.
Each piece is first and foremost a sculpture — the light is an integral, yet secondary, component of its presence.
The glass elements are crafted in collaboration with skilled glassblowers in Nuutajärvi Glass Village, a historic center of Finnish glassmaking. The metalwork is produced by Milla Vaahtera and her team in Porvoo, Finland.Since launching the series in 2020, Vaahtera has created over 130 unique pieces — and counting. The forms range from fluid and organic to precisely geometric, showcasing the artist’s ongoing exploration of contrast, materiality, and movement.
